Great Point and Shoot
Strengths: Easy to use, great picture quality, HD video is a big plus
Weakness: Not the greatest quality pictures in low light.
I received this camera as a gift in July. I use it all the time. We have a big SLR but this is perfect to take to the playground or hiking in the Adirondacks. I got the best panoramic pictures of the fall foliage, the colors were bright and vibrant. The video quality is amazing especially for a digital camera. You can take video 29 minutes at a time, but as soon as you stop recording, if there is...

No Viewer, Poor Battery Life
Strengths: High megapixels and compact size
Weakness: Very poor viewer picture for pictures taken in sunlight. Slow picture recycle time. Fast battery drain.
Would not recommend this camera. Technology description reads well, but performance and utility is inadequate. There should be a separate traditional viewer for composing pictures in bright light. Constant back panel display likely contributes to battery drain. Could be useful for indoor pictures. Should not have purchased this camera.

love my new camera
Strengths: takes great pics in almost any light and very close up pics turn out beautiful too...have not tried it at night yet but I feel confident I won't be disappointed-
Weakness: there is no peep hole thing to look through besides the big screen (if there is a glare on the screen in the sunlight it's hard to see what you are aiming at in bright light)
love this camera for the price! very safisfied so far....but you gotta get the rechargable batteries if you take a lot of pics, I have had it for less than a week and used 6 AA digital (non rechargable) batteries already. Going to get the recharable ones this week!

Worth the price!
Strengths: Features Vs. Price - 12MP, 5X zoom, HD video, 16:9/4:3 aspect ratios, zoom in video mode
Weakness: Picture quality on LCD, audio during video, video in QuickTime (.MOV) format, has digital image stabilization but not optical
Before buying this, I was in a dilemma whether to go for Canon (A570 IS, A720 IS) or Kodak Z1285. But dared to buy Kodak for its features given the price. Pictures taken during day time are decent, but those taken in low-light or during night time are disappointing with night mode setting. Probably I need to do some other settings. Pictures taken during sunset in sunset mode are good. I haven't...

SO FAR UNBELIEVABLE !!!!!!!!!
Strengths: I put in the disc, followed directions, put in the batteries and it has worked perfectly ever since. This took about 5 minutes to set up.
Weakness: Haven't found any yet. It has 64MB internal memory, but still only stores about 15 pictures. Just order an 8 GB memory card, so that problem is solved.
For someone who never used a digital camera before this has been a beautiful drive down a country road ! I took a panorama picture and just hand held it and it came out perfectly. Printed it in color on my printer (HP Photosmart C4380) on just plain paper, everyday print quality, and it made a beautiful print. With these results, I may not even need photo paper and photo print quality! One of my...
